At Kitchen Academy, you are in the kitchen from the first day of class right to the last.
You will learn from some of the best Professional Chef instructors in the industry; most with over 20 years experience! They have a lot of knowledge to pass on to their students, molding them to be the best chefs possible. You will focus on the techniques you need to achieve success in today’s competitive culinary landscape. Each unique cooking station is designed for two students to work in at a time. Furthermore, each station has its own LCD screen so you can follow along with the chef as he or she instructs the class. Can learning get any better than that? Well maybe it can, as Kitchen Academy also offers flexible class schedules; you can choose from morning, afternoon, or evening classes.
At the conclusion of your training, you will participate in a six-week externship. This will allow you to begin your transition into the culinary industry. Professional Culinary Arts Diploma
The Professional Culinary Arts program at Kitchen Academy is for the aspiring chef that desires something different in a culinary education; this is not a traditional culinary program. You will find people like you who share a passion for food; people that will help you learn and get working in a professional culinary environment.
At Kitchen Academy, all the equipment and supplies you need are at your fingertips. The kitchens are custom built to optimize your learning experience. You will start at workstations, progressing to a fully equipped cold kitchen, ending in a restaurant-style kitchen laboratory.
Your coursework will have you begin with the basics. You then move to cold cuisine and baking and pastry techniques. The final section emphasizes the development of advanced culinary skills, where you work through mock drills and real world situations. As a final project, you invite family and friends out and serve them a full tasting menu that you design and create with other students. Upon graduation, you will be ready to rise to the top of the culinary industry!
